Brian Boyle continues to score big goals in an emotional season.

The New Jersey Devils forward potted his second goal since being diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia during the second period of "Hockey Fights Cancer Awareness Night" at Prudential Center.

The goal gave the Devils a 2-1 lead over the Canucks. New Jersey went on to win the game, 3-2.

Boyle was joined by his wife and two children along with an 8-year-old leukemia patient for the ceremonial puck drop before the game.

During warmups, the Devils wore "Boyle Strong 11" patches on their "Hockey Fights Cancer" jerseys.

Boyle was diagnosed with the rare form of leukemia during training camp and was visibly emotional after scoring his first goal of the season two weeks ago against the Oilers.

"I've never cried after a goal before," Boyle told Deb Placey of MSG during the Oilers game. "That's a great feeling. It's everything."
