The NHL has shifted its full attention to the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, which starts on Friday, June 23, and finishes on Saturday, June 24 in Chicago.
The debate for the New Jersey Devils at No, 1 overall will finally be settled, when they likely choose between forward Nolan Patrick or forward Nico Hischier. The Philadelphia Flyers will likely also get one of those players at No, 2 overall.

It could be a coin flip right now, but Patrick has shown the ability to wow at an even younger age (he went for 102 points in 72 games while winning the WHL MVP in 2015-16). If the Devils aren't worried about Patrick's injuries that limited his play in 2016-17, they could take Patrick, who has long been projected as the top player in the Draft. Hischier may be the flashier pick, but Patrick is the move right now.
The rest of the top prospects such as Gabe Vilardi, Casey Mittelstadt, Cody Glass, Cale Makar, Owen Tippett, Miro Heiskanen, Klim Kostin and Nick Suzuki will find new homes with the Detroit Red Wings, Dallas Stars, Colorado Avalanche, Buffalo Sabres and Golden Knights among the other teams picking in the lottery.
The Golden Knights will have three first-round picks following trades during the Expansion Draft. That is reflected is NJ.com's most recent Mock Draft.
The first round of the Draft will take place on Friday night before the final six rounds go on Saturday. This mock draft reflects all 31 picks that will be made on Friday night.
